Job Description
Mid-Atlantic Rheumatology is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for an on-site position in Millersville, MD. The RN will be responsible for administering infusions and injections to patients in a clinical setting.
This position will initially be part-time, two days per week. Specific workdays will be discussed during the hiring process. Based on performance and practice needs, this role may transition into a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer infusion therapies and injections safely and accurately.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
- Assess patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Follow all clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Required Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in infusion therapy, rheumatology, internal medicine, or a related specialty.
- Experience administering infusions and injections.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills.
- Experience with WeInfuse and eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a rheumatology or specialty practice.
- Familiarity with biologic medications and infusion protocols.
- Comfortable managing patients with chronic autoimmune conditions.
